Stop the Violence

Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month (observed November 20-December 20) is a month-long effort to educate the public and policymakers about the impact of homicide on families and communities and recognize the diverse contributions of the Survivor’s movement. Throughout the months of November & December, Homicide Survivors is amplifying Survivor’s voices through the #StopTheViolence.

What is the aim of the #StopTheViolence campaign?

Every 32.1 minutes, someone is murdered in the United States.*

In Arizona, a murder occurs approximately every 27 hours.*

With national homicide rates on the rise in 2021, support for families impacted by violence and awareness of the impact of homicide in our communities is needed now more than ever.

National Crime Victims Rights Week (April 21 - 27)

Every April, the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) helps lead communities nationwide in their annual observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) by promoting victims’ rights and honoring crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.

We invite you to join us from April 21-27, where Homicide Survivors will host events empowering survivors through workshops, survivors’ stories on hope, and our Annual Candlelight Vigil.

Arizona Gives Day is April 4th!

Every year, families in our community are shattered by the loss of a loved one to homicide. Please consider joining us this Arizona Gives Day and donating to our cause. Your contribution will ensure we continue to provide services to Survivors, such as advocacy, support and assistance.
